Sweet Coconut Bars

Makes 12 bars


  • 125g desiccated coconut
  • 170g condensed milk
  • 200g dark chocolate

Step 1

Place the coconut and the condensed milk in a bowl together and mix until well combined. Fill the moulds level with the coconut mixture using the back of a teaspoon to push the mixture into the mould. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Step 2

Melt and temper the chocolate in a bain-marie. Stir the chocolate until nearly melted then remove bowl from heat and carry on stirring until completely melted.

Step 3

Carefully release the bars from the mould and place on a cooling rack. Using a spoon or a pastry brush, layer the bars with chocolate, covering all sides. Allow to cool and harden at room temperature and transfer to a fridge to harden fully.
