The Great British Bake Off returns to our screens next week albeit on a different channel and with a new judging panel! Paul Hollywood, Sandi Toksvig, Noel Fielding and Prue Leith are the new judges on the Channel 4 show and will test out the skills of twelve amateur bakers from across the country.
This year we will see the oldest amateur contestant to appear on Bake Off to date; 71 year old Flo from Merseyside, who fills her time by baking an array of treats for her family and also for her son’s restaurant.
The first episode is Cake Week and will see a fruity signature challenge, a children’s tea party favourite technical challenge and a tricky showstopper where contestants have to bake an illusion cake.
So get your Mason Cash mixing bowls, spatulas and Kilner jars at the ready, this year’s bake off is set to be a good one! Tune in on Tuesday 29th August at 8pm on Channel 4.
