Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

With less than 10 ingredients, these easy banana chocolate muffins are deliciously moist and only take 10 minutes to prepare. Perfect for breakfasts in the morning or as a mid day snack in the afternoon.

Ingredients and Method


  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 250 g self-raising flour
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 175g light muscovado sugar
  • 150g natural yoghurt
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 large eggs


  1. Place 12 cupcake cases in a muffin tray and leave aside. Preheat the oven to 180 °C/fan 160 °C/gas 4.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork and pour into a S12 Mixing Bowl. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, milk, eggs and yoghurt to the bowl and mix well. Once combined, fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Spoon the batter into each muffin cake and bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Once done, leave to cool on a rack and serve.
