Crusty Bread Rolls

Who doesn't love a freshly baked crusty bread roll? Bake delcious, easy crusty bread rolls following @stacydeeskitchen 's recipe. 

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 350g strong white bread flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 15g soft unsalted butter
  • 225ml water

Method

  1. In a large bowl combine flour, salt and yeast. Add in the butter, then slowly add in warm water until the dough is soft but not too wet.
  2. Knead for around 4 minutes until the dough ball is smooth.
  3. Transfer into an oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for around 45 minutes to an hour until the dough has doubled in size.
  4. Knock back the dough and divide into 8-10 rolls pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place on a baking tray. Gently push down to flatten.
  5. Preheat oven to 220/200 Fan. Then cover and leave dough balls for another 30 minutes.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until golden.
